Start Planning Your Outreach
Designed to ignite your passion and transform it into impactful missions! This Outreach Planning Handbook is a simple step‑by‑step tool to move from ideas to gospel‑centered outreach, helping you choose outreach ideas, build a plan, and follow through. For even greater impact, use it together with our Faith‑Sharing Tools (How to Share Your Faith) and Small Group Tools (Life Group Bible Studies) so your church can both share the good news and walk with people as they grow.
How This Handbook Connects to Other Tools
As you create your outreach plan, you may also want tools that help your people share the gospel and follow up with newcomers.
Use our Faith‑Sharing Tools - How to Share Your Faith to equip your church family to clearly share John 3:16 and the good news of Jesus.
Use our Small Group Tools - Life Group Bible Studies to invite guests into Bible studies where they can ask questions and grow in their faith.
In this hurting world, there are endless possibilities of redeeming "felt needs" (problems and stressful life circumstances that require help) to build a bridge for sharing the Gospel!
Most people experience acute "felt needs" at various times in their lives.
Christians meeting "felt needs" can serve as a powerful bridge to speaking the Gospel to those touched with the love of Jesus and pointing them to the One who can meet their real needs.
God's Care
God loves people, feels their pain and wants to minister to them. "I have seen the misery of my people... I have come down to rescue them." (Exodus 3:7,8)
He desires to use His church to reach out to those in need. Could it be that the world is not seeing God as they should because Christians are not attempting to impact the world for Him?
Through sacrificial compassion and care the world will will see God at work.
Jesus' Mission
Of Jesus, the Scriptures proclaim: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has annointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18,19)
As Christ lives through the actions and words of Christians, God will reveal and glorify Himself.
As we grow in sharing our faith, we will grow in our relationship with Christ (Philemon 6).
As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we will reveal the nature of God to a watching world.
